New Program to Improve Accuracy of Hemp Testing

Just a few days ago, a federal science agency announced the launch of a new program which will help laboratories to accurately test and measure the components of CBD products. Specifically, this means providing more precise information about the CBD levels in different products and therefore improving product labelling. Additionally, it will also help to ensure that CBD levels are at the federally legal amount in the products that are being sold. All of this testing will be through the National Institute of Science and Technology and their Cannabis Quality Assurance Program. They are currently working on ways to assure that their test results are consistently measured and that results are optimized from their testing practices. Laboratories can now start to register to be part of the program and learn how to get more accurate test results for CBD and THC levels in products.
